Throughout Germany, you can find incredible destinations full of amazing natural beauty, historical attractions, religious landmarks and interesting culture.

This northern Germany town has a rich history. It was once the most important city in the Hanseatic League when it was known as ‘Queen of the Hanse.

Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt; Germany has an incredible number of amazing cities located within its borders and as such the vast majority of tourists head to these hubs of activity.

Known just as much for its thriving art and nightlife scenes as its magnificent museums and moving WWII sights, Berlin is one of Europe’s most visited cities.

Munich, the capital of Bavaria, was founded by a group of Benedictine monks who settled in the rich farming area that was close to Catholic Italy.

Though the country is often more associated with chilly alpine sports than warm weather outdoor activities, Germany’s lakes have always held a central position in the lives of its citizens, who flock to them in droves during their summer breaks.

With five fantastic museums located on Berlin’s Museum Island alone, it’s fair to say that this amazing capital has a wealth of interesting, interactive and educational museums for you to check out.

One of the most popular cities to visit in Germany, Bavaria’s capital Munich has a marvelous altstadt to explore and many great churches, palaces and museums to check out.

Whenever I visit a city for the first time, I like to dedicate a full day to at least two well-known museums.
