San Diego, California
Most days in San Diego in March are sunny and mild. It’s worth packing a few extra layers in case the chilly ocean breeze picks up or you’re there for one of the rare rainy days.
This time of year the city is most famous for its whale watching. Take a boat trip out into the open ocean and keep your eyes pierced for gray whales.
