8 Best Places to Stay in Rovinj, Croatia

Last updated on December 28, 2021

Rovinj is a fishing port located on the west coast of the Istrian Peninsula in northern Croatia. Known for its Old Town, Rovinj is full of architectural gems from various historical periods – most notably, Venetian baroque buildings dot the town. The cobbled streets hide tiny squares with churches rising from the charming red rooves. Formerly an island, Rovinj was connected to the mainland under Venetian rule.

It’s easy to stay here; luxurious resorts are scattered along the coast and there are historic places to stay in the Old Town itself. But you can also find accommodation on one of the 14 islands of the Rovinj Archipelago, making for a more secluded getaway in one of their high-end beachfront hotels.

One of the hotel’s restaurants serves up Croatian delicacies, but there is a selection of other restaurants serving up international cuisine. The rooms at Hotel Eden are minimal and modern but designed with comfort in mind, and allow the sea views to take center stage.
