Rovinj is a fishing port located on the west coast of the Istrian Peninsula in northern Croatia. Known for its Old Town, Rovinj is full of architectural gems from various historical periods – most notably, Venetian baroque buildings dot the town. The cobbled streets hide tiny squares with churches rising from the charming red rooves. Formerly an island, Rovinj was connected to the mainland under Venetian rule.

But you can also find accommodation on one of the 14 islands of the Rovinj Archipelago, making for a more secluded getaway in one of their high-end beachfront hotels.
